Silver sunset

Anybody like these? Ebay Item No. 300318739207 I recently got one of these after admiring the design in the gold & hoped they would do it in silver as the gold was too rich for my taste. They are a beauty, however I only paid about a 1/3rd of what this person paid about 6 weeks ago. :bear_w00t:

I just personally don't care for the design. It's different but not quite my personal taste.

I guess I don't care what it looks like it is potential return on investment when choosing items & getting lucky on the right choice irrespective of what spot price does. Not a bad return on the silver proofs if you sold now. Also some of the "Ugly" lunars eg OX series 1 in my opinion are now going up quick added to this they are low mintages especially in Europe.

Crazy crazy prices in the last 12 months in Europe especially for silver lunars & hard to locate except in the auction sites, diversifying appears to be a good option not just the cheapest silver bullion where most would be a bagholder currently. But what do I know, but is working for me.

The silver proof looks much better than the speciman coin as there is no clear seperation in the roo and the roo shadow as there appears to be in the picture above. They look much worse up close in person. The gold series fluctuates in price depending on year, there is about a 30% premium on the 2007 series.

I have to agree with you this shows a better pic of the proof. 290328654679

I guess like many things with limited mintages you take a gamble on what will become a good future investment & though pricey at the time, I don't regret it one bit.

Try getting your hands on a 2007 Rolf Harris silver uncirculated Kangaroo & see the price these have jumped to. Collector value not only for mintages but once Rolf pops his clogs then who knows. :bear_w00t:
